Federated Website & App Alliance (FWAA)

Welcome to the future home of the Federated Website & App Alliance.

The purpose of the association is to provide resources for the operators of fediverse communities and fediverse-enabled websites, such as community rules, example privacy statements, and more.

Most of these resources will be provided for free.

The goal of the organization is to help small and independent operators start and grow their own federated communities using technologies such as ActivityPub and OpenWebAuth.

Membership

Membership has not been opened to the public yet, but when we do open membership up to the public, there will be multiple membership levels, including a Free Associate membership.

We want to open up membership to as many people as we can, regardless of the ability to pay.

Next Steps

Our first actions will include publishing example community rules that are suitable for both social media websites and forum websites.
